Mother’s Day Catch Up

Well, I had a phenomenal first official Mother’s Day! I’ll be back later this afternoon with a “real” post but just wanted to tell you about my weekend – since that’s about all the time I have before I fall asleep!

On Saturday, I had a lovely pre-Mother’s Day get together at my mom’s house. Alex, from All Mimsy, and Amanda – with their families! – came along and we spent the afternoon eating, binging on sugary treats, and sipping iced coffee on the wrap-around porch.

Then Sunday morning, Amanda and I headed out to grab coffee and go antiquing at Shupp’s Grove – home of Crafty by Nature. We both snagged some fabulous rings, including a sterling Tiffany ring for $12. And some vintage postcards of Reading & other PA communities for $1.

We kept it healthy for lunch and had hot dogs & milkshakes.

After coming home, Mike & I went to dinner with my in-laws at our local Mexican restaurant. To our pleasant surprise, moms ate for 1/2 off! Wrapping up the day, some friends & their adorable children came to visit.

Now it’s time for my Mom’s Day back rub!
