Art for the Cash Poor is this weekend in Philly! You can find all sorts of fabulous HiP artists & crafters selling their work at this family-friendly art party. My family is planning to go Sunday – maybe I’ll see you there!
Saturday, June 13 is World Wide Knit in Public Day! To celebrate, the Boyertown Stitch ‘n Bitch group is hosting a 4 hour fiber party (12pm – 4pm) on the front porch of the Hard Bean Cafe in Boyertown. Carrie, from Like Clochework, let me know that there will be spinning and plarn-making demos. You can meet Carrie, as well as, local yarn vendors Saffron Dyeworks and Glory by Jeannie Lee. Don’t know how to knit or crochet? No problem! Knit and crochet lessons available on request!
On Sunday, from 2-4pm, you can participate in the group’s second annual yarn swap! “Bring a skein, take a skein!”

Once again, this weekend is Second Sunday at the Goggleworks in Reading. This month’s Second Sunday is jam packed with activities and also marks the last day for the Holly Smith exhibit. The photo above is a sample of this exhibit – if you have kids, it’s a must see (sorry for the late notice!). Holly’s art is literally larger than life and looks like it popped right out of one of those picture books that both parents & kids think are great!
There is also a seconds sale going on at the Goggleworks store from the wood, ceramics, and glass studios!
What else is going on this weekend? Let us all know by leaving a comment on this post!
