This post is exclusively for you to share what you’ll be doing this weekend around the commonwealth.  Whether you’re planning time in the studio, a craft show stop or long weekend out of town.  Share with us.  And share your work on HiP’s group pool on Flickr.

I, for one, am heading to the Farm Show in Harrisburg.  I hope to walk my one-year-old around to see the sheep, alpacas and rabbits (here’s the for kids page).  Then I’ll make a necessary stop over at the food court for milkshakes.  And then maybe those fresh cut fries.

What else is there to do in Harrisburg while I’m there?

Ooh! I want to go to the farm show with Lola too! She loves animals and would have a ball. I just need to convince the hubs!

We’ll be heading to the farm show next weekend. Always a good time. This weekend will be spent sewing, preparing for an Easter craft show. I also have a skirt for myself that I just gotta finish.

I’m planning to hit up the shops and galleries in downtown Lancaster, as well as visiting Central Market to stock up on fresh, local produce.

In December, I went along on my daughter’s 4th grade field trip to Harrisburg. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting to be wowed, but I love the PA State Museum and the Capitol Building! If you are artfully inclined, the Capitol has some amazing stained glass windows and paintings. I recommend the guided tour.

How cool! Eva loves to brush sheep and goats! I wish we could go.
We are going to Nelson’s coworker’s home for dinner. I am going to make two photo boxes with my photographs. I will try to get a picture of how they turn out for the blog!

I’m heading to the Farm Show also tomorrow. You mean that you’ll have time to do that and visit Harrisburg? (haha) You should stop by Radius also while you’re in town.
Now I’m thinking about those milkshakes….

There are quite a few museums around Harrisburg, check out the National Civil War Museum if you’re into history. Also, a lot of great art and music venues around Harrisburg as well, the Midtown Arts Center is a really awesome spot for live shows, and of course don’t forget to visit the breweries – Troegs and Appalachian Brewing Company.

If you’re looking for other events in the area we have a great online events calendar: http://www.Spotobe.com

Enjoy the Farm Show, and check out Harrisburg while you’re here, there are an abundance of fantastic restaurants and other things to do and see!
