It’s important for artists to support the communities we live in. Several years ago I began to participate in different events in Phoenxville, a new hub and haven for various artists. I like contributing to the spirit of things, and my first year at The Phoenxville Firebird Festival inspired me to create bird wands for people to make beforehand, and to buy at the festival. These wands have become a fun tradition.
I also love the Phoenixville Farmer’s Market and have been so happy to have a booth there with various arts and crafts to sell. This year other artists and I will be there twice a month.
This next weekend coming up May 5th is the 2nd Annual Festival for Honeybees at the market.

I have been busy as a you know what making honey bee wands to sell.

I really enjoyed designing this sweet bee. She’s 3 D. I ‘ll have two sizes available and also making some smaller bee pendants by reducing the image, printing and laminating them, cutting them out and adding a little rhinestone in the middle of the flower then putting them on a ribbon necklace…….all told I’ve actually cut out more than 200 of these bees………..carrying them around in a little purse and cutting them out at every opportunity during the day!
Hope to see you at the market. It’s just wonderful that our farmer’s markets are welcoming artists. Hip Hip Hooray!
