Eat, Drink, and Stink is the tagline for the Easton Garlic Festival, and walking around this festival is definitely a unique experience. Many artists, food vendors, musicians and farmers lined the streets of Easton with their garlic themed creations. Garlic hung from almost every vendor tent, and we had a great time sampling everything that this festival had to offer.
It was a little windy but that only added to the ambiance because you could smell the garlic as you walked along the streets. The festival is held in autumn which is a scenic time with the leaves changing color.
Fresh garlic, produce, peppers, and other delicious treats were at the festival in abundance. Members of my family tried garlic hot dogs, garlic cupcakes, garlic buffalo wings, fresh garlic, and artisan cheese infused with garlic.
Chestnut Hill Farm located in Kintnersville Pennsylvania, proudly displayed their Champagne Garlic Jelly. I was also intrigued by the varieties of garlic pasta, and the garlic cupcakes from Sweet Girlz Bakery located in Easton.
We also had a chance to visit Artist Alley at the festival. There were a number of artists with paintings, jewelry, and other beautiful work for sale to patrons passing by.
And of course, I had to bring home some amazing apple cider from Scholl Orchards. There were many farm stands at this event, and my only regret is not sampling something from each and every one. Looks like I will have to go back next year!
