I absolutely love podcasts. They’re the perfect accompaniment to knitting , commuting, or working in the studio. I can be productive and get things done, and the whole time I’m learning and/or being entertained. (My fellow podcast enthusiasts are out there smiling and nodding their heads.) In fact, I can honestly say that podcasts are invaluable to my handmade life.
I have my favorite knitting-themed podcasts, my favorite art pep-talk podcasts, and even my favorite Lancaster-specific podcasts. Did you know that there are two fabulous podcasts that are dedicated solely to people and places around Lancaster county? It’s true.
Around the Wood Stove recently celebrated its 100th episode… which featured the Lancaster arts scene! Of course I was geeked to learn a little bit more about the Lancaster arts revival. From musical artists to visual artists to thespians, writers, and all the cool people in between… it’s a good bet that Around the Wood Stove has talked about them.
The Lancast features interviews with people I would describe as… the most eclectic group of individuals in Lancaster county. Recent episodes have featured The Burrito Baron, The Story of Adoption for the Adopted, and interview with blogger Motley Mama.
What are your local, made-with-love podcasts? Share! I’m always listening for something inspirational for all those hours in the studio!
